    The Food Bank will open at 10:00am today (1/21/19). Client Services will still begin at 1:00pm, with the last check-in time at 4:30pm. 

     Client Distribution Hours 

       Monday          1:00 - 5:00 pm
       Wednesday    1:00 - 4:00 pm
       Friday             1:00 - 4:00 pm
       Please check-in no later than 30 minutes prior to closing 

       New clients are received between 2:00-3:00 pm on days listed above

    Donation Drop-off Hours
       Monday          9:00 am - 12:30 pm
       Wednesday    9:00 am - 12:30 pm
       Friday             9:00 am - 12:30 pm

Did You Know...

  •  2017 By the Numbers 

    • Volunteers contributed over 12,000 hours
    • 694 unique households received over 3,917 distributions
    • 1,585 unique individuals are included in those households
      • 32% are children 
      • 19% are 60 years or older
      • 49% are adults
    • 10,000 pounds of food was distributed through our Kid's Bag Program
      • 249 unique children benefitted from this program
      • 1,100 kids' bags were distributed
      • Bags consisted of 9 pounds of healthier food 
    • Over 421,874 pounds of food was distributed to our clients -- the equivalent of 351,561 meals.
    • 62,265 pounds of food was shared with other Centre County food pantries and social service agencies 
    • Over 469,466 pounds of food was donated to the Food Bank -- the equivalent of 391,221 meals. 
    • Substantial food donations were received from various community drives such as the Letter Carrier's "Stamp Out Hunger", the Boy Scout's "Scouting for Food", Canstruction 2017 in addition to individual donations. We are grateful for all of the many ways Penn State students and other local groups contribute to our Food Bank.

    To all Federal employees who have been impacted by the government shutdown:

    If you are in need of food assistance and live in the State College Food Bank distributon area (Townships: College, Ferguson, Halfmoon, Harris, Huston, Patton, Taylor, Worth; Boroughs: State College, Port Matilda), please email us at

    If you are an impacted Federal government employee who does not live in our service area, please contact your local food pantry and/or call the Central PA Food Bank's Federal Shutdown food assistance phone line at 717.547.6336.
