Out-dated/Overstock Items/'Free Shelves"
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, 9:00am - 12:00pm, Food Bank staff and volunteers place free food items on shelves in the Food Bank's front lobby area. Items may include: past-date bread and baker items, past-date canned goods or other food product (within one year of expiratio), produce, and other bulk grocery items. You are welcome to stop in and "shop" from these shelves to help supplement you regular groceries. Please take only what your family can use and bring your own bags. All free product is "take at your own risk."
Kid Bag Program
The State College Food Bank provides an extra supplimental bag of food for each school-aged child in the months of June, July, August and December (or while supplies last). This program is made possible by the support of the State College Downtown Rotery and Central PA Food Bank.
Toys for Tots
The State College Elks work with the Nittany Leathernecks (retired Marines) to provide toys to our clients with children. Registration is required.
The Food Bank provide extra supplimental food in the months of November and December. Pre-registration is required for all holiday distributions.
