    Volunteer of the Year
     2018
    Lisa Hayes
    Congratulations!

     Lisa Hayes

Lisa Hayes, a Lewistown native, has gone out to explore the world and brought back her flair and knowledge to help the State College Food Bank. Lisa recently joined Barton Malow Company with 15 years of experience in the Architecture, Design and Construction Industry. When Lisa isn't working, you can find her with those she loves most, her husband and daughter. They will most likely be playing with their three cats and new puppy. That is assuming they are not off on a fun adventure.

As a philanthropic, community-minded individual, Lisa was driven to help by her desire to fight childhood hunger. Having overcome incredibly difficult times herself, Lisa was compelled to found CANstruction State College, a charitable competition in which teams build artistic structures using canned food, to give back to the Food Bank. Lisa has been the chairperson of this event for the past 3 years.

With thousands of hours put into CANstruction, Lisa's leadership has helped provide the Food Bank with over 23,000 pounds of food and over $30,000. Lisa is a remarkable volunteer, and the State College Food Bank is beyond fortunate for her passion and hard work. We thank you a thousand times over for all you have done and continue to do!
